The Retirement Division of the State's Treasurer's Office is seeking a highly organized, independent, and proactive individual with strong attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills to serve as a Retirement Research and Policy Manager. This role involves primary staffing of Supplemental Plans (including defined contribution plans, deferred compensation plans, a single deposit investment account, and a municipal retiree health savings plan) and retiree health insurance plans (primarily for the Teachers system). Additional responsibilities include financial and professional level review, collaboration with System actuaries for trend analysis, oversight of contracted entities, and analysis of legislative proposals. The position may also serve as secretary (or back-up) for three defined benefit retirement boards, organizing monthly and ad hoc meetings. The ability to work with data from multiple sources to produce analysis, forecasts, and visually appealing summaries is expected. This position reports directly to the Director of the Vermont Retirement Systems of the Office of Vermont State Treasurer.
