About The Position

Strongpoint Partners is seeking a Retirement Plan Consultant responsible for managing all aspects of ERISA compliance for qualified retirement plans, with a primary focus on Form 5500 filings, annual testing, and regulatory reporting. This role ensures compliance with Department of Labor (DOL) and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requirements and supports clients and internal teams with complex plan administration needs. This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States. Requirements

  • 3-7 years of experience in ERISA compliance, Non-Discrimination Testing, and Form 5500 preparation required.
  • Experience with FT William software in both compliance and 5500 modules required.
  • Experience with PensionPro or other pension related platforms.
  • In-depth understanding of IRS and DOL regulations related to qualified plans.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications such as: Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail, file compliance, and accuracy

Nice To Haves

  • ASPPA or CEBS designation (QKA, QPA, or CPC) strongly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and file annual Form 5500 returns and all related schedules.
  • Conduct annual nondiscrimination testing (ADP/ACP, top-heavy, coverage, etc.).
  • Interpret and apply ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations to retirement plans.
  • Coordinate with plan sponsors, auditors, and consultants to resolve compliance issues.
  • Consult on plan designs.
  • Maintain accurate records of filings and compliance testing results.
  • Stay current with regulatory updates and communicate changes to the team.
