Retail Warehouse Associate - Inventory
About The Position
The Retail Warehouse Associate works primarily in WIS’s Retail Warehouse segment, supporting inventory events at manufacturing and warehouse locations focused on retailers. The role includes directing warehouse inventory associates, carrying out inventory counts and verifications, and helping customers complete tablet verifications. Associates are expected to provide professional, timely customer service and uphold WIS’s SPIRIT values—Service, Pride, Integrity, Results, Innovation, and Teamwork—in a positive, safe, and inclusive environment. This part-time role offers paid hours based on availability and business need. Schedules may include varied traditional and non-traditional hours, and more availability may provide more earning opportunities. The position involves travel, including paid overnight stays, and extended work events of 10–12 hours. More than 60% of the work occurs between Friday morning and Monday morning.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Willingness to travel, including paid overnight stays.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods, with occasional walking.
- Ability to use both hands and wrists for repetitive motions.
- Ability to frequently squat, kneel, crouch, and use a ladder.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to travel frequently by car and/or plane, including overnight stays.
- Ability to work extended periods of 10–12 hours per event.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in stock and merchandising work.
- Prior teamwork experience in a customer service setting.
- Familiarity with warehouse heavy equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts, as well as warehouse bin locations and labeling systems.
Responsibilities
- Complete WIS count reconciliation processes and direct customers on completing tablet verifications.
- Provide direction to warehouse associates.
- Perform first counts and verify first counts performed by warehouse associates.
- Execute the inventory plan.
- Provide exemplary customer service through professional and timely communication, a sense of urgency, and meeting expected service levels.
- Uphold WIS’s SPIRIT values in a positive, safe, and inclusive environment.
