About The Position

Under the direction of the Retail Location Manager, the Retail & Warehouse Associate - 1 supports both the retail floor and warehouse operations. This role provides customer service, stocks shelves, maintains warehouse and store cleanliness, and assists with basic warehouse tasks such as loading, receiving, and organizing product.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills, such as adding, subtracting, and calculating prices or totals.
  • Proven ability to work independently, or in a team-oriented environment.
  • Effective oral and written communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain a positive, professional manner under all conditions

Responsibilities

  • Promote and maintain a positive image for the store and deliver friendly customer service.
  • Assist customers in locating products and provide basic product information.
  • Support customers with loading goods and ensure documentation is completed correctly.
  • Maintain retail floor appearance, including housekeeping in store, warehouse, and outdoor areas.
  • Operate cash register as required.
  • Assist with receiving goods: unloading deliveries, checking for accuracy, identifying damage, and documenting shipments.
  • Help transport, store, and rotate product, following safety standards.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization.
  • Support warehouse staff in preparing shipments and branch transfers.
  • Assist with yard tasks such as snow removal, lawn maintenance, and outdoor tidiness.
  • Stock shelves, label product, and maintain neat merchandising displays.
  • Participate in monthly/annual inventory counts.
  • Price product only under supervision.
  • Follow all health and safety requirements under the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA), including using required protective equipment, following safety procedures, and reporting any potential hazards.
  • Follow all company personnel policies, including expectations related to training, performance, and conduct.
  • Participate in required MCS training such as Ministry of Labour courses, Health & Safety Standards, Policies, and AODA accessibility training.
  • Work cooperatively with approved contractors and follow all related safety procedures when contractors are on site.
  • Maintain any required licenses, certifications, or regulatory requirements needed for your role.
  • Perform other assigned duties as assigned.
