Retail Temporary Sales Associate
About The Position
The Retail Temporary Sales Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and keeping the store clean and organized. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; prepares and merchandises products; participates in store recovery and shrink-reduction efforts; and helps maintain a safe store environment. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at the HomeGoods store at 3462 Emmorton Road, Abingdon, Maryland. Starting pay is $15.25–$15.75 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following customer experience principles.
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
