  • Ability to inform donors when items cannot be accepted and suggest alternative options.
  • Ability to sort, price, test, hang, rotate, stock, and prepare donated merchandise.
  • Ability to maintain an organized retail environment.
  • Ability to presort donated materials.
  • Ability to transport merchandise and donations throughout the facility using carts, racks, crates, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (upon certification), as assigned.
  • Ability to maintain cash register supplies.
  • Ability to ensure sales floor merchandise is stocked, rotated, and displayed according to store standards.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers and donors in a courteous, respectful, safe, and efficient manner, including processing sales transactions accurately, collecting and counting payments, providing correct change, thanking donors, and offering donation receipts.
  • Follow store guidelines and safety protocols when accepting, loading, unloading, and processing donated items; inform donors when items cannot be accepted and suggest alternative options when appropriate.
  • Sort, price, test, hang, rotate, stock, and prepare donated merchandise to create inventory for the sales floor and maintain an organized retail environment.
  • Presort donated materials and transport merchandise and donations throughout the facility using carts, racks, crates, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts (upon certification), as assigned.
  • Maintain cash register supplies and ensure sales floor merchandise is stocked, rotated, and displayed according to store standards.
