About The Position

At Maverik, Retail Team Members help create an exceptional experience for customers and keep the store running smoothly. This cross-trained role covers Food Service and Front-of-Store duties, including preparing fresh food, assisting customers, stocking supplies, maintaining food displays, and keeping the store looking its best. Team Members demonstrate Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors and adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment. Stores operate 24/7, so schedule flexibility may include nights, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is $15.54–$17.54 per hour. Full-time Team Members have access to the comprehensive benefit package described in the posting; all Team Members are eligible for the employee fuel and food benefits and annual profit sharing, subject to program rules and usage limits.

Requirements

• Hardworking and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to multitask and transition between duties.
• Flexible schedule; availability may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Food Handler Permit, if required by the applicable store, county, or jurisdiction.
• Able to safely work with equipment that generates and maintains high temperatures while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
• Able to meet the role’s physical requirements, including frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching, bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, and pushing, and moving objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by consistently demonstrating Maverik’s GET (Greet, Engage, and Thank) behaviors.
• Transition between duties, engage customers, stock supplies, and maintain appealing food displays.
• Prepare Maverik recipes and ensure food displays are clean and ready for customer use.
• Adapt quickly to changing situations and provide service in a fast-paced environment.
• Help keep the store running smoothly and assist wherever needed.
