About The Position

As a Retail Team Member, you’ll be a versatile part of the Boise Co-op team, helping wherever you’re needed most. You’ll work across multiple areas of the store to assist customers, stock and merchandise products, support register operations, and help keep the store organized, safe, and running smoothly. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, likes working with people, and is comfortable shifting priorities throughout the day. If you’re someone who notices what needs to be done and is ready to jump in and help, we’d love to meet you.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Idaho food handler’s card or ability to obtain required certification.

Nice To Haves

• Retail, grocery, customer service, stocking, merchandising, or food-service experience is preferred but not required.
• More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is dependable, enjoys helping customers and coworkers, and is willing to learn and take on a variety of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Proactively greet customers, answer questions, and provide exceptional service.
• Support different areas of the store based on daily priorities and staffing needs.
• Stock, rotate, label, date, and merchandise products accurately while checking for expired or unsellable items.
• Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor and backstock areas and assist with displays.
• Operate registers, scales, and other equipment accurately and follow all cash-handling procedures.
• Share Boise Co-op membership information and assist customers with membership sign-ups.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and security procedures.
• Participate in inventory counts, daily huddles, and store communications.
• Work collaboratively and with a sense of urgency, stepping in to support coworkers and customers as needs change.
