Retail Supervisor
About The Position
Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for Entry Level Managers to fill a Retail Supervisor position at our Oscoda Store located at 5122 N. US 23 in Oscoda. This position offers a starting pay of $17.00 an hour, a 20% discount on in-store purchases, and monthly bonus potential. There are also career advancement opportunities available through the Goodwill Academy. Our mission is to assist individuals with barriers to employment in making the transition to independence and self-sufficiency. The profits from our stores fund programs that help people with obstacles in finding work, and we are committed to recycling and sustainability, having kept over 7.7 million lbs. of materials from landfills in 2025.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Michigan drivers license
- 1 year of general retail experience
- Ability to use cash register and follow Goodwill policy and procedures
- Ability to work full time; all shift availability and extra shifts as necessary
- Demonstrate strong management skills
- Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds with or without help
- Ability to reach, bend or stoop
- Able to stand six to eight hours a day
- Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently
- Pleasant, cheerful and professional demeanor
- Must have telephone access
Responsibilities
- Assist in training, motivating, and communicating with store staff
- Promote professional and personalized donor and customer relations
- Organize and maintain sales floor and displays
- Assist with meeting and exceeding budgeted sales and margin goals
- Delegate essential tasks
- Lead by example to assure compliance with policies and procedures
