About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Mid-Michigan is looking for Entry Level Managers to fill a Full Time Retail Supervisor position at their Oxford Store located at 190 S. Washington, Oxford, Michigan. This role offers the opportunity to learn Goodwill's Mission and involves assisting in the supervision of store staff, including opening and closing the store in the absence of the Store or Assistant Manager. The company's mission is to assist individuals with barriers to employment in making the transition to independence and self-sufficiency. Goodwill funds programs that help people with obstacles in finding work and is committed to recycling, having kept over 8 million lbs of materials from landfills in 2023.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Reliable means of transportation and a Valid Driver's License.
One year of general retail or customer service experience.
Ability to use cash register and follow Goodwill policy and procedures.
Demonstrate strong management skills.
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds with or without help.
Ability to reach, bend or stoop.
Able to stand six to eight hours a day.
Ability to problem solve quickly and efficiently.
Pleasant, cheerful and professional.

Responsibilities

Supervise and train store staff.
Open and close the store according to policy and as directed.
Assist with procedures related to the cash registers, returns and cash handling.
Deliver good customer service.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment.
Appropriately handle customer concern/complaints.
Stock and return merchandise per company directive.
Maintain the overall appearance of the store, directing staff as needed.
