JOB PURPOSE Reporting to the Sr. Sales Manager, NA Retail, we’re looking for a results-driven Strategic Account Manager to lead the growth of key retail partnerships in the automotive aftermarket. This role will focus on driving market share, strengthening customer relationships, and executing data-driven strategies across assigned accounts. The ideal candidate is experienced in automotive retail and/or ecommerce, passionate about the aftermarket industry, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in retail sales management within the automotive aftermarket.
  • Demonstrated success in driving sales growth and building long-term customer partnerships.
  • Strong leadership and project team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing budgets, pricing strategies, and sales KPIs.
  • Strategic thinker with adaptability in a competitive, fast-moving market.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and passionate about the automotive aftermarket industry.
  • Experience working with major retail accounts, wholesale distributors and large aftermarket buying groups.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (up to 40% of the time) to meet with assigned accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Identify growth opportunities and develop initiatives to expand market share and drive sustainable revenue.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail customers and decision-makers.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies.
  • Collaborate and build annual business plans with retail partners focused on inventory availability, merchandising, and promotional planning to maximize sell-through.
  • Negotiate pricing and contract agreements that ensure profitability and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with internal insights and analytics teams to monitor sales performance and guide strategic decisions.
  • Align with marketing and product teams on launches, campaigns, and promotional strategies.
  • Manage communication across sales, operations, and logistics to ensure timely product availability and delivery.
  • Provide insights and feedback for new product development based on customer input and market intelligence.
  • Lead forecasting, budget planning, manage sales margins, and monitor key financial performance indicators.
  • Represent retail sales in leadership discussions and company-wide initiatives.
