About The Position

Goodwill Industries of Kansas has been a trusted resource and advocate for people with disabilities and barriers to employment for over 60 years. Our mission is to transform lives and communities through the power of education, training, and employment. We are seeking a Retail Store Processor to play a key role in furthering our vision and mission in our retail operations. This position is responsible for the general maintenance of the store, including all janitorial duties, and responding to the donation door, all while fulfilling Goodwill's mission statement.

Responsibilities

  • Sort through donations and place into gender categories.
  • Sort all goods brought to the goods area into categories: Household, Games, Toys, Holiday items, Miscellaneous.
  • Hang clothing and textiles on racks and tag, if needed, with quantity, gender, and date.
  • Price good items in two places.
  • Salvage unusable donations and label them as 'salvage'.
  • Meet daily rack quotas.
  • Separately price vintage and formal wear for the sales floor.
  • Complete weekly production reports.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and report violations.
  • Support the mission statement and activities of other departments.
  • Follow all safety policies and fire prevention procedures.
  • Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of all employees.
  • Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment, and other barriers to persons with disabilities and barriers to employment.
  • Provide support for helpers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
