About The Position

This position is responsible for the general maintenance of the store, including all janitorial duties. The Retail Store Processor also responds to the donation door and plays a key role in furthering Goodwill's mission of transforming lives and communities through education, training, and employment. The role involves working with individuals with disabilities and barriers to employment, demonstrating a positive role model attitude, and showing commitment to Goodwill's mission.

Sort through donations and place into gender categories.
Sort all goods brought to the goods area into categories: Household, Games, Toys, Holiday items, Miscellaneous.
Hang clothing and textiles on rack and tag, if needed, quantity and gender, date.
Price good item in two places.
Salvage unusable donation and label as such “salvage”.
Must meet getting rack quotas out daily.
Separately price vintage and formal wear for sales floor.
Do weekly productions report.
Adhere to all safety policies and reports violations.
Support mission statement and activities of other departments.
Follows all safety policies and fire prevention procedures.
Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
Responsible for safety and well-being of all employees.
Support the accessibility of our services and facilities free of architectural, attitudinal, environmental, financial, communication, transportation, employment and other barriers to person with disabilities and barriers to employment.
Provide support for helpers.
Lift -- push/pull while standing - up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes over 100 pounds.
Carry -- push/pull while moving - up to 50 pounds on a daily basis. Sometimes up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide general maintenance and janitorial duties for the store.
Respond to the donation door.
Work with individuals who have disabilities and/or barriers to employment and participate in the achievement of their goals.
Sort through donations, including household items, games, toys, holiday items, wares, and other miscellaneous donations.
Hang clothing and tag textiles.
Price items and follow procedures for identified salvage.
Meet daily rack quotas.
Separately price vintage and formal wear for the sales floor.
Complete a weekly production report.
Attend meetings as required.
Adhere to all safety policies and report violations.
Support the mission statement and activities of other departments.
Follow all safety policies and fire prevention procedures.
Adhere to all ethical standards and confidentiality of records.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all employees.
Support the accessibility of services and facilities, removing barriers for persons with disabilities and barriers to employment.
Provide support for helpers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
