Key responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and training employees, developing and assigning tasks, scheduling staff, and implementing non-discriminatory management practices. The position also involves fostering positive relationships with suppliers and the community, conducting performance appraisals, and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Financially, the manager will analyze sales and expenses, budget and forecast P&L lines, manage merchandise margins, and safeguard all money. The role requires working with minimum direction and supervision, acting as an effective manager, supervisor, and leader.
