About The Position

Legacy Toys is a specialty toy store founded in Minnesota in 2012, offering a wide variety of toys, games, and candy. The company aims to create unique and fun experiences for families and kids of all ages, emphasizing a positive and engaging atmosphere. Team members are encouraged to interact warmly with guests, demonstrate products, share their enthusiasm, and ensure every customer leaves happy. The Store Manager role is responsible for the overall guest experience, team culture, and store performance, ensuring that each visit is an engaging experience rather than just a transaction. The Store Manager reports to the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • Proven retail management experience, including leading a team and owning results.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop people, not just manage them.
  • Strong communication skills with guests, staff, and leadership.
  • Operational proficiency in inventory, scheduling, hiring, and compliance.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and the ability to step in when needed.
  • High energy and enthusiasm, particularly during busy periods.
  • A genuine passion for the Legacy Toys brand.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth by setting goals, tracking performance, and coaching the team to achieve them.
  • Hire, train, and develop team members, including Associates, Shift Leads, and the Assistant Manager.
  • Maintain training systems to ensure team members are set up for success.
  • Manage store operations, including scheduling, purchase orders, transfers, special orders, and inventory.
  • Oversee visual merchandising to keep the store floor clean, stocked, and shoppable.
  • Implement company policies, goals, and the Legacy brand experience consistently.
  • Handle employee and guest relations effectively.
  • Provide regular updates to the Director of Operations on store results, needs, and hiring.
  • Foster a positive, high-performing store culture daily.
