About The Position

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of store operations, including staff management, customer service, inventory control, financial analysis, and maintaining company standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure the store operates efficiently and profitably while providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive community image.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Experience in retail sales preferred.
  • Experience to perform essential duties, responsibilities, and working conditions.
  • Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials listed in CSR and ASM job descriptions.
  • Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in CSR and ASM job descriptions.
  • Ability to use a computer or acquire necessary skills for site computer use (analysis of reports, inventory control, cash control, counseling notices, etc.).
  • A valid driver's license and adequate transportation for bank and corporate management meetings.
  • Ability to communicate (orally and in writing) in English.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or delegated by supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, and train employees, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Develop, manage, and assign tasks to ensure the site is clean, stocked, organized, and well-kept.
  • Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.
  • Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain site image.
  • Implement non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, motivating, and separating employees.
  • Develop positive and professional relationships with suppliers.
  • Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints professionally.
  • Promote and ensure a safe, positive public image within the community.
  • Prepare and deliver timely performance appraisals with proper feedback.
  • Train employees on customer service, site image, marketing execution, and safety procedures.
  • Ensure all employees receive proper communication in a timely manner.
  • Establish regular communication meetings with site employees and the Market Manager.
  • Evaluate and develop action plans to meet site objectives.
  • Organize and maintain all site files and manuals.
  • Ensure all required reports are completed accurately and timely.
  • Supervise employees to ensure merchandise is stocked, displayed attractively, and priced correctly.
  • Ensure all required employment posters and signs are accessible to employees.
  • Analyze daily sales and expense information to maximize sales and net profits.
  • Budget and forecast P&L lines, and manage merchandise margins.
  • Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed.
  • Perform financial analysis to maximize sales and net profits.
  • Work outdoors as needed for tasks like cleaning parking lots, gas pumps, and taking out garbage.
  • Work in occasional cold temperature extremes (e.g., walk-in cooler/freezer).
  • Work with a minimum of direction and supervision.
  • Act as an effective manager, supervisor, and leader at all times.
