About The Position

The Soccer Factory is seeking a passionate, results-driven Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our premier soccer specialty retail store. The Store Manager is responsible for driving sales, delivering an exceptional customer experience, developing employees, managing inventory, and ensuring operational excellence. This individual will lead by example while fostering a positive, team-oriented culture that reflects The Soccer Factory's commitment to the soccer community.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of retail management experience.
  • Proven leadership and team development skills.
  • Strong sales background with experience meeting performance goals.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with POS systems and retail inventory management.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Passion for soccer and knowledge of soccer equipment, footwear, and apparel.
  • Experience in specialty retail or sporting goods.
  • Experience with Shopify POS or Lightspeed retail systems.
  • Team uniform or club sales experience is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, hire, train, coach, and develop retail team members.
  • Create weekly employee schedules that maximize productivity while controlling labor costs.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
  • Foster a positive, energetic, and accountable work environment.
  • Lead by example in customer service, professionalism, and work ethic.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring every customer receives expert product recommendations.
  • Build relationships with local clubs, teams, coaches, schools, and organizations.
  • Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Promote loyalty programs, events, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Oversee all daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure accurate cash handling, deposits, and POS operations.
  • Maintain company merchandising standards and visual displays.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment.
  • Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and visually appealing.
  • Receive and process incoming shipments.
  • Perform inventory counts and cycle counts.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate transfers and replenishment with purchasing staff.
  • Minimize inventory shrink through loss prevention practices.
  • Execute seasonal floor sets and product launches.
  • Maintain attractive product displays.
  • Ensure pricing and signage are accurate.
  • Analyze product performance and recommend merchandising adjustments.
  • Represent The Soccer Factory at community events, tournaments, and promotional activities.
  • Support partnerships with youth clubs, schools, colleges, and professional organizations.
  • Assist with special events, product launches, and World Cup promotions.
  • Review daily sales reports and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage payroll within budget.
  • Complete required operational reports accurately and on time.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and safety standards.
