About The Position

This position is responsible for working on the sales floor and/or production area. The Retail Store Generalist will learn and perform all Cashier and Production Associate functions in the retail store, provide back-up support in all areas for vacations/staff shortages, and provide excellent service to customers, donors, fellow associates and participants. They may act as a key holder if required and participate in the new hire onboarding process as necessary. This role involves making decisions on product quality and pricing items accordingly, researching value as necessary, and meeting or exceeding attendance expectations. The Generalist will actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants. Additionally, they will educate customers and the community about the mission and vision of the organization and demonstrate the Goodwill core values through actions and words.

Requirements

  • GED or High School Diploma preferred
  • Knowledge of Computer applications preferred
  • Previous cashier, customer service, production, retail experience required
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must provide excellent customer service.
  • Must be a flexible and adaptable to work and cover different areas on any given day; may be responsible for covering different areas in one day.
  • Must be able to work quickly with a sense of urgency and be able to multi-task.
  • To be a high-energy, positive contributor.
  • Desire to work hard and perform well with dedication and great work ethic.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, customers, participants and other associates.

Responsibilities
