About The Position

Marshalls is seeking a dedicated individual to maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care. This role involves operating cleaning equipment, performing various cleaning tasks, and adhering to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. The position also requires cross-training in multiple areas of the store to support business needs and contribute to a positive store culture. The ideal candidate will embody honesty, integrity, and respect, while also providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber.
  • Capable of multi-tasking.
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Strong communication skills: verbal and written. Listens and responds appropriately.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Standout colleague, working effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining floor care cleanliness standards, including the operation of the scrubber and buffer.
  • Maintaining organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store (Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms).
  • Adhering to all company policies concerning Health and Safety, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
  • Cross-training in other areas of the store (Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, etc.).
  • Supporting and responding to Front End coverage needs.
  • Adhering to and upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
  • Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
  • Adhering to all operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink reduction.
  • Communicating accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
  • Adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break period policies.
  • Participating in safety awareness and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
