About The Position

TJ Maxx is seeking a Part-Time Retail Store Cleaning Associate to maintain a clean and organized store environment, with a primary focus on floor care. This role involves operating cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, performing tasks like dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate will also adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. Additionally, this position requires cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs, embodying a positive store culture, and maintaining cleanliness standards across various store sections including the sales floor, restrooms, and backroom. The role also involves adhering to health and safety policies, supporting front-end coverage, upholding merchandising standards, participating in store recovery, and adhering to loss prevention controls. Effective communication with management and associates, adherence to labor laws and break policies, and participation in safety awareness are also key aspects of this role. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Responsibilities

Operation of the scrubber and buffer
Dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows
Adherence to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards
Cross-training to work in multiple areas of the store
Role modeling established customer experience practices
Supporting and embodying a positive store culture
Maintaining all floor care cleanliness standards
Maintaining all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store
Adherence to all company policies concerning Health and Safety
Cross-training in other areas of the store (Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, etc.)
Supporting and responding to all Front End coverage needs
Adherence and upholding merchandising philosophy and signage standards
Initiating and participating in store recovery as needed throughout the day

Communicating accurately and effectively with management and Associates
