About The Position

TJX Companies is seeking a Retail Store Cleaning Associate to maintain a clean and organized store environment, with a primary focus on floor care. This role involves operating cleaning equipment such as scrubbers and buffers, performing tasks like dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate will also adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. Additionally, this position requires cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs, embodying a positive store culture, and maintaining high standards for customer experience.

Requirements

Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

Maintain a clean and organized store environment with a focus on floor care.
Operate the scrubber and buffer.
Perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards, including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer.
Maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the entire store (Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms).
Adhere to all company policies concerning Health and Safety, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Support and respond to all Front End coverage needs.
Adhere to and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
Adhere to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies, including shrink reduction.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, including Associate meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
