About The Position

We are looking for highly motivated, hard working individuals to become a member of our team. We currently have an opportunity available for a Retail Store Associate in our Surplus City store. We are looking for a friendly, out-going person to assist customers at our Chambersburg, PA store. RETAIL STORE ASSOCIATE (FULL TIME) Job Summary: The Store Associate completes tasks that support the Store Manager and overall customer base. These tasks may include carrying out daily procedures like restocking shelves, organizing supply rooms or managing the cash register. Their job is also to provide customer support in all departments.

Requirements

Ability to perform simple calculations.
Extensive knowledge about the store product and services and customer-related policies.
Ability to operate or to quickly learn the store's point-of-sale system.

Must be available to work weekends on a rotating basis.

Nice To Haves

General Knowledge of Fabrics and Crafts is a plus.
Knowledge of Hardware is a plus.
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous retail experience preferred.
Successful completion of job training period.
Demonstrate leadership qualities and promote a positive, safe and clean work atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Greet customers as they enter the location.
Answer customer questions, respond to customer requests and resolve customer issues.
Complete accurate and efficient register transactions.
Perform inventory duties such as unloading, scanning and stocking products onto the shelves.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
