About The Position

Joplin 44 Truckstop is looking for a Merchandise Stocker to provide excellent service to our customers, professional truck drivers and the motoring public. Joplin 44 is one of the best in the trucking industry and you’ll be able to be a part of that. Joplin 44 Truckstop is the one-stop shop for all their big rig needs! Requirements

Must be able to lift 100+ pounds
Physical demands: This position involves constant moving, talking, hearing, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Lifting of 50lbs regularly and 100lbs occasionally.

Available to work weekends, and holidays. This includes full-time

Previous retail and sales experience are a plus!

Responsibilities

Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
Knowledge of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Solid communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read, write and effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management
Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business
Ability to work as part of a team and take independent initiative outside of direct supervision
Assisting customers in the selection and purchase of merchandise
Become familiar with product knowledge
Ability to identify customer needs to sell appropriate merchandise while acknowledging other potential sales windows based off inquiries
