Retail Sr Manager, Food Ventures

About The Position

Food Ventures is a newly created E2E business unit, setup to ensure the delivery of PepsiCo’s Strategic expansion into Meals. This position will play a critical role in progressing the development and execution of retail-based food solutions with our largest Retail Customers across the globe. The role translates strategic retail plans into operational deployment, through deploying cross-functional execution, and ensuring commercial readiness across priority markets. It requires excellent customer engagement, market insights integration, and robust commercial acumen to align our plans with global and regional retail expansion priorities.

Requirements

  • Understanding of retail operations, category dynamics, and merchandising.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen.
  • Experience working with cross-functional commercial teams.
  • Ability to analyze consumer and retail trends to inform business decisions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to influence without authority.
  • Execution-oriented with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • 5–8 years of experience in retail, commercial, or strategy roles in FMCG.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Fluency in English required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with multi-market environments is a plus.
  • MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of retail growth strategies across priority markets.
  • Translate long-term strategic retail plans into actionable deployment blueprints.
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for new retail food solutions.
  • Support engagement with retail customers, including preparation of negotiation materials.
  • Coordinate joint business planning inputs with Region and Anchor Market teams.
  • Monitor partner performance and escalate issues to the Retail Director.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver product, supply chain, and operational readiness.
  • Ensure congruency of product propositions across retail, AFH, and D2C.
  • Track execution milestones and identify risk areas.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking.
  • Ensure commercial models meet margin and ROI requirements.
  • Provide analytical inputs to refine commercial plans.
  • Ensure compliance with internal governance, pricing, investment guidelines.
  • Support documentation for approval processes.
  • Retail execution readiness across priority markets.
  • Quality and timeliness of customer materials and commercial inputs.
  • Financial performance tracking accuracy.
  • Partner satisfaction and issue resolution speed.
  • Cross-functional coordination effectiveness.
