About The Position

Scheels is seeking a Part Time Retail Shoe Runner to join their team. This role is responsible for retrieving shoes from stock, transporting them to the staging area, processing returns, and assisting in shoe departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong customer service focus, a team-first mentality, and the ability to adapt to change. This position offers an average of 20 hours per week with flexible scheduling requirements, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma, or general education degree (GED), preferred
• 1-3 months of related retail/sales experience, preferred
• Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
• Must be available every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Effectively retrieve shoes from back stocks and transport them to the staging area for sales associates
• Process unpurchased items and customer returns to their correct locations while maintaining an organized work environment to ensure inventory accuracy
• Assist in Men’s, Women’s, and Youth shoe departments as needed
• Proactively engage customers with a warm, welcoming demeanor and offer immediate assistance
• Ensure all necessary technology and devices are prepped and functional prior to the start of each shift
• Partner closely with Specialty Shop Managers to identify and address urgent department needs
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to present information clearly to customers and team members
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively across all levers of the organization
• The ability to perform basic calculations
• Ability to work assigned schedule, which may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the leadership team
