Assists the Retail Store Manager and Retail Assistant Store Manager in the operation and management of a retail center by performing various duties personally or through supporting team members. This role acts as an ambassador for Palmetto Goodwill, demonstrating its I-CARE values (Integrity, Collaboration, Attitude, Respect, Excellence) and providing excellent customer experiences. The Shift Leader embraces a culture of learning and growth, participates in training, and supports diversity, inclusivity, and belonging. They are responsible for receiving donations, sorting, pricing, and stocking merchandise, accurately using the point-of-sale system, and meeting production goals. The position requires maintaining a clean work environment, obtaining forklift and first-aid certifications, training and coaching team members, issuing refunds, resolving customer concerns, reporting security issues, and complying with all agency policies and safety standards. In the absence of store management, the Shift Leader leads retail team and store activities and performs administrative duties such as opening/closing procedures, bank deposits, and securing the building.
