Assists the Retail Store Manager and Retail Assistant Store Manager in the operation and management of a retail center by performing various duties personally or through supporting team members. This role demonstrates commitment to organizational values, provides excellent customer experiences, and acts as an ambassador for Palmetto Goodwill. The position involves embracing learning and growth, celebrating diversity and inclusion, and enthusiastically receiving and processing donations. Responsibilities include sorting, pricing, and stocking merchandise, accurately using the point-of-sale system, and meeting production goals. The Shift Leader also maintains a clean work environment, obtains necessary certifications (forklift, stacker, CPR/First Aid), trains team members, provides coaching, handles customer concerns, and reports security issues. They lead the retail team and store activities in the absence of management, perform administrative duties like opening/closing and bank deposits, and undertake other assigned tasks.
