About The Position

Pet Food Express is seeking passionate, sales-driven individuals to join their team as Lead Sales Consultants. In this role, you will be a trusted keyholder responsible for driving sales, store operations, and customer engagement. You will guide customers through pet parenthood, coach Sales Associates, and lead by example to inspire your team in building relationships, recommending products, and achieving sales goals. Working closely with field leadership, you will ensure a fun, friendly, and informative shopping experience for every customer while fostering a motivated, sales-focused team environment.

Requirements

  • A passion for pets and a desire to help pet parents find the best solutions.
  • Minimum 1-year previous leadership and keyholder experience required, preferably in a retail environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and lots of ambition.
  • Dependable and reliable with strong attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; will require weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Willingness to travel among neighboring stores.
  • Ability to lift, move, and carry up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to climb and balance using a ladder and/or step stool.
  • Ability to continuously stand, walk, bend, stretch and engage in repetitive motions throughout shift.

  • Experience in pet retail is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Actively approach and engage with customers (both human and pet).
  • Understand customer needs and build lasting relationships.
  • Provide tailored recommendations using the PFE Whole Life Approach.
  • Participate in and lead daily training and continuous educational programs.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products and the pet community, sharing knowledge with the store.
  • Educate Sales Associates on product benefits.
  • Lead store open and close procedures as a keyholder.
  • Ensure accurate and secure cash handling, including register operations, cash drops, and balancing drawers.
  • Lead the unloading of shipments, restocking, and product placement while maintaining visual standards.
  • Ensure store displays and visual merchandising are updated according to company guidelines.
  • Clean and maintain the store by delegating and participating in tasks.
  • Maintain awareness of loss prevention and support a culture of honesty.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall store operations.
