About The Position

Join Yamaha Financial Services and play a key role in delivering exceptional service and operational excellence throughout the retail servicing lifecycle. As a Retail Servicing Operations Specialist II, you'll be part of a collaborative team responsible for ensuring the accuracy of customer transactions, resolving payment exceptions, and supporting critical servicing operations. This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple functional areas, partner with internal stakeholders, and contribute to process improvements that enhance both the customer and dealer experience.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in customer service, payment processing, data entry, loan servicing, financial services, or a related operational environment.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and the ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Research and resolve payment transactions, allocations, reversals, disputes, and other account activity to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Monitor and maintain system worklists, including unidentified and returned payment queues, to support efficient servicing operations.
  • Review cash payment files received from Accounting to verify accurate posting and processing.
  • Reconcile proceeds received from vendor servicing partners and collaborate with Accounting to resolve discrepancies.
  • Review auction sale activity, document account notes, and identify corrections needed to customer records or accounting information.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries received through the shared department email inbox.
  • Support daily servicing operations by handling inbound calls, researching customer concerns, and partnering with internal teams to ensure accurate credit bureau reporting.
  • Participate in departmental projects, process improvement initiatives, testing, and special assignments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
