Requirements

  • Must have on record a Wisconsin DSPS security license.
  • Previous experience as a security officer, security guard, and/or other safety and protection related fields, including customer service roles.
  • Computer skills required.
  • Weekend Availability.
  • Current valid Wisconsin security license.
  • Able to conduct extended foot patrols.
  • Must have a current WI driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Valid Wisconsin state driver’s license.
  • Valid Wisconsin Guard License.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Minimum of one year of customer service experience.
  • Minimum of one year of security experience.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks.
  • Engage with the public and respond to calls for service in the public right of way.
  • Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions.
  • Document all interactions in clear, concise written reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Communicate and pass on pertinent information to team members, other safety teams, and the client.
  • Monitor and/or detect suspicious behavior to assist in the prevention of vandalism, theft, and other criminal behavior.
  • Warn violators of infractions such as loitering, smoking, or possession of prohibited items.
  • Respond to calls of distress, alarms, and emergencies (e.g., fire, injuries, unauthorized individuals) by contacting local first responders.
  • Identify and report concerns (safety, security breaches, unusual circumstances) in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all rules and regulations are enforced and followed.
  • Other duties as determined by management.
