About The Position

Securitas is hiring for a Full Time Security Officer to help keep our retail client's site safe in Burlington, VT. This is a new client with an official start date of November 1st, 2026 (subject to change). Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers. Requirements

Able to remain on their feet and walk throughout an 8-hour shift.
Proficient with computers and digital reporting
Maintains a professional appearance
Dependable, punctual, and observant
Vermont Guard Card or the ability to obtain this prior to starting work
High school diploma or GED
At least 18 years old

Responsibilities

Conduct interior and exterior patrols of the facility and surrounding property
Complete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and Incident Reports accurately and timely
Respond to and verbally de-escalate situations as needed
Maintain a visible security presence to help deter unauthorized activity and safety concerns
