About The Position

The Retail Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment at a client site by actively monitoring the premises and patrolling locations. The officer observes and reports activities and incidents, preserves order, and enforces site-related regulations and directives for personnel, visitors, and the surrounding area. The role also includes providing customer service and information to client employees and customers. No prior experience is necessary. Applicants with retail, food service, or hospitality backgrounds may be a good fit; training is provided. Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check and meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal security-officer licensing requirements.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods; the role may also involve frequent sitting, climbing stairs, and walking on inclines or uneven terrain.
Ability to frequently lift or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.

Nice To Haves

Security experience is preferred.
Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is a good fit.
