About The Position

We are looking for an experienced part-time Security Guard to join our team in Barrie! Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a retail environment expanding on your security skills but also engaging with the public providing a high level of customer service engagement? The hours of work while varied are set within the retail store hours and as such you will work occasional weekends and afternoons. Must be available between the hours of 0900-2100, 7 days a week for various shifts and enjoy a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in Canada
• Hold a valid Ontario security license
• Valid First aid certification from a WSIB approved provider (Emergency or Standard)
• Ability to stand and walk entire shift
• At lease 6 months experience as a Security Guard OR working in a retail environment
• Proficient verbal and written English communication

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to spot any suspicious activity
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas
• React quickly to threats or incidents
• Document incidents and actions taken
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents
• Serve as a visual deterrent to shoplifting and robbery attempts
