About The Position
The Yankee Candle Retail Seasonal Sales Associate executes guest-facing, team, and operational responsibilities to deliver an exceptional guest experience and drive sales growth. The role helps create a welcoming store environment, understands guest needs through product knowledge, builds customer relationships, supports loyalty and sales goals, and maintains the store according to company visual standards. The associate also supports the Store Manager and team, assists with inventory and expense control, and follows safety, loss prevention, company policies, and the Code of Ethics.
Requirements
- High school completion or equivalent GED.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Must be able to work in a fragrance-filled environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

- Proven experience in a retail environment; 1+ years preferred.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a welcoming store environment focused on an exceptional guest experience.
- Understand guest needs through product knowledge and make emotional connections.
- Implement company selling strategies and build lasting customer relationships to maximize sales and enhance loyalty.
- Drive guest loyalty through the Rewards Loyalty program and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Help maintain store appearance in accordance with company visual standards, including plan-o-grams, visual maintenance, signage, and cleanliness.
- Support the Store Manager in building a high-performing team that represents Newell Brand Values.
- Foster a positive work environment through teamwork and effective communication.
- Support inventory management activities and control expenses.
- Incorporate safety and loss prevention measures into daily activities and follow company policies and the Code of Ethics.
- Strive to achieve or exceed KPI goals through strategic planning, effective execution, and continuous performance improvement.
