About The Position

This role involves providing excellent customer service in a retail environment, processing various financial transactions, and utilizing specific banking technology. The associate will be responsible for meeting customer expectations, adhering to bank policies, and maintaining accuracy in all tasks.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage customers in conversation regarding products and services.
  • Ability to make sound decisions, including on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, balancing customer satisfaction with bank exposure to loss or fraud, and the ability to rationalize decisions.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or currently attending high school or college.

  • Prior cash handling experience.
  • Prior customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all customer transactions and use appropriate technology effectively and efficiently.
  • Service customers by processing deposits and withdrawals, including loan payments, holiday club payments, and savings.
  • Sell money orders and cashiers' checks.
  • Process and balance individual cash boxes and complete office work as assigned.
  • File signature cards and complete end-of-day proof.
  • Maintain and balance a cash box.
  • Utilize Teller Scanning Equipment, Cash Recycling and Cash Dispensing machines, and support customers in using Coin Machines.
  • Meet customer expectations, achieve service quality standards, and mystery shop expectations.
  • Maintain knowledge and compliance with the Bank's Code of Conduct and all policies and procedures.
