About The Position

This is a permanent part-time role with base hours averaging 2-5 hours per week per store, depending on store size and workload. Additional hours for special projects are frequently assigned, with higher demand from January through June. The role involves visiting designated stores weekly to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is used to improve product and retailer sales performance. Being a Retail Scan Associate offers workplace independence, flexibility in hours, and job consistency, with continuous physical activity throughout the workday. The position involves in-store data collection at assigned local retailers year-round, including holiday weeks, across various store types such as grocery, convenience, drug, pet, and mass merchandise. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes and may be asked to provide product quantities for approximately 45% of scanned items. Weekly tasks include Display Scanning and potentially Custom Projects, which can add 30 minutes to 2 hours of work per store. Adherence to weekly deadlines and dependable, quality-driven action are critical.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.

Responsibilities

• Scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps, in designated stores each week.
