About The Position

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to visit assigned local retail stores each week and collect product data using a downloadable mobile-phone app. Associates scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps, and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance.

Associates complete display scanning throughout the assigned store each week, along with custom projects that clients request frequently. Custom projects can add 30 minutes to two hours of work per store in a given week. Associates must report to stores within the stated deadlines and perform weekly work throughout the year, including holiday weeks. The position averages 7–13 base hours per week across stores, with additional project hours assigned periodically. Scheduling details are reviewed during the interview.

The role offers workplace independence and some flexibility in working hours. Work involves continuous physical activity throughout the shift and travel between assigned stores. Routes may include grocery and convenience stores in the Columbus, Dublin, Marion, and Marysville, Ohio areas, with available workdays varying by store.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle and at least the minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to remain on your feet for long periods while accessing products throughout a store.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, reach six feet in the air, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Deadline-driven self-starter.
• Access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Tech savvy.
