Retail Scan Associate (Maryville, TN 37804)
About The Position
ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps throughout the store. The data collected is analyzed and used to improve the sales performance of the product and retailer (store). Being a Retail Scan Associate offers an opportunity in retail, providing workplace independence, some flexibility in hours, and job consistency. There will be continuous physical activity throughout the workday shift. This is a permanent part-time role, averaging 6-13.5 hours per week, with potential for additional hours for special projects. Associates use a mobile app to scan barcodes and provide product quantities for approximately 45% of scanned items. The role requires adherence to weekly deadlines and data delivery to clients.
Requirements
- At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
- Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
- Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
- Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
- Must be tech savvy.

Responsibilities
- Visit a designated selection of stores each week to scan all product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including aisle end caps.
- Use a downloadable app on their mobile phone to scan barcodes in numerous locations throughout each store.
- Provide the quantity of approximately 45% of the products scanned.
- Complete Display Scanning on the entire store.
- Perform additional work referred to as Custom Projects, which may add 1 to 2 hours of work per store per week.
- Adhere to weekly deadlines for data delivery to clients.
