About The Position

ScanScape Retail Scan Associates visit assigned local stores each week to scan product barcodes on displays and in aisle locations, including end caps. The collected data is analyzed to help improve product and retailer sales performance. Associates use a downloadable app on their mobile phone and provide quantities for about 45% of the products scanned.

This permanent part-time position involves weekly work at assigned retailers for 52 weeks a year, including holiday weeks. Base hours average 4–8 per week across all stores, depending on store size and workload. Special projects are frequently assigned and typically add 1–2 hours per week per store, with higher demand from January through June. Associates must meet weekly deadlines and complete display scanning and any requested custom projects. Store assignments and available workdays are listed for locations in Washington, DC. The work offers independence and some flexibility in scheduling, and includes continuous physical activity throughout the shift.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver's license.
• Have a reliable vehicle and minimum state-required auto insurance coverage.
• Be able to stand for long periods and access products throughout a store.
• Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet, and bend, stretch, stoop, and stand.
• Be able to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Have attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
• Be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Be tech savvy.
