About The Position

This role focuses on providing personalized customer service by assisting customers in selecting products, ensuring the department is well-maintained, and managing merchandise displays. The position also involves ensuring accurate pricing and signage throughout the department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers as they enter the store and thank them as they are leaving
• Demonstrate friendliness towards customers and co-workers
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation within the department
• Provide personalized customer service within department
• Promptly and courteously answer phone calls and transfer them to the appropriate person or department
• Ensure every item has a SKU and is priced
• Set ad merchandise in accordance with promotional guidelines
• Ensure price changes are completed as directed by BPM
• Execute merchandising plans as directed by BPM or store leadership
• Ensure that the store is recovered, merchandise is faced, and product rotation occurs on dated goods
• Assist in other areas in the store as necessary
• Stock freight and ensure adequate amounts of merchandise available
• Assist cashiers and perform cashiering functions as needed
• Uphold all company policies and procedures
• Perform other tasks and duties as required by supervising manager
