About The Position
International Shoppes is seeking a full-time Retail Sales Supervisor to oversee the complete operation of designated areas. The supervisor works with terminal and department management and associates to drive sales and ensure high levels of customer service. The role includes managing the store when management is absent and helping maintain professional, ethical, and effective operations. Duties may change at any time and are not limited to those listed in the posting.
Requirements
- At least three years of retail experience.
- At least one year of supervisor or manager experience.
- At least one year of previous customer service or selling experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including active listening, verbal communication, and assertiveness.
- Present a professional appearance while interacting with clients.
- Be a team player.
- Pass airport security background screening.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand and/or walk for eight hours per shift.
- Ability to bend, kneel, and stoop.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual skills are a plus; languages listed include Arabic, Spanish, Chinese, French, Italian, Korean, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese, and Turkish.
Responsibilities
- Manage the store in the absence of management, demonstrating outside sales and customer service skills.
- Supervise sales associates in sales generation, store housekeeping, loss prevention, merchandising, pricing, and cash register (POS) operations.
- Adhere to U.S. Customs regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Ensure client concerns are resolved professionally.
- Administer coaching, counseling, corrective actions, and appropriate documentation for associates when needed.
- Model professionalism, ethical behavior, and effective decision-making.
- Delegate tasks and follow up to ensure completion.
- Observe associate performance and provide feedback.
- Motivate associates to perform at a high level.
- Train employees to interact with clients professionally.
- Participate in semi-annual inventory.
