About The Position

The Vendor Paid Specialist is affiliated with a specific brand and uses vendor product knowledge and selling skills to drive brand revenue. The role creates an enhanced shopping experience, provides exceptional service, prioritizes customers, and communicates customer opportunities to store leadership and vendor representatives. This is a seasonal, full-time position focused on Fossil Group watches at the Roosevelt Field location.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of previous merchandising or retail experience.
• Ability to communicate and present information effectively to customers, peers, and all levels of management.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, and ability to use a calculator.
• Self-starter.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time-management skills.
• Ability to follow through on projects in a timely manner.
• Comfort with computers and frequent use of RF equipment.
• Flexible scheduling and availability to work retail hours, potentially including day, evening, weekends, and holidays.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a memorable customer experience.
• Drive vendor sales by demonstrating exceptional selling skills.
• Partner with the Customer Experience Manager to identify opportunities that drive top-line sales.
• Prioritize customers and provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Use product knowledge to educate and assist customers in making suitable choices and increasing sales.
• Convert customers into clients.
• Maintain customer-readiness standards, including a clean, neat, easy-to-shop store environment, and execute shortage-prevention initiatives.
• Perform other customer-facing, vendor-specific duties as needed and other duties as assigned.
• Maintain regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Foster acceptance and respect and build authentic relationships with colleagues, customers, and communities.
