About The Position

This role is for a Seasonal & Regular Retail Sales or Stock position at Nordstrom Rack. Team members will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. The role ensures a quick and easy customer experience and maintains store cleanliness. Flexibility is required, with potential to work in different areas of the store, including maintaining the cleanliness of the floor and stockrooms, and assisting customers. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment departments.

Continuous movement for 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
Stock and Fulfillment Only: Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Ensure the salesfloor stays "runway ready" by re-merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
Assist customers with a variety of transactions across different platforms (in-store, online and mobile), including operating a point-of-sale system.
Handle bagging items of all sizes, including bulky and sometimes heavy items.
Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers and sorting/returning clothing.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.
Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives like the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive, unload freight, unpack and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general support to the store, such as setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
