The Retail Sales/Merchandising Manager at The Michaels Companies Inc. is responsible for leading and supporting inventory management and merchandising standards, ensuring a well-merchandised and in-stock store for customers. The role involves helping customers shop, providing friendly service, and assisting the Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Company programs. This includes ensuring compliance with applicable laws, executing company policies, managing truck processes, supporting planogram and AD set processes, and managing shrink and safety programs. The manager will also serve as Manager on Duty (MOD), maintain visual merchandising standards, and assist with team member development, including interviewing, on-boarding, coaching, and performance management.
