Requirements

  • 2 or more years of experience in B2B sales in a construction-related industry.
  • A drive to provide a fantastic customer service experience.
  • Driven and an influencer that is never satisfied with “good enough” results.
  • Quick on your feet and willing to solve any problem thrown your way.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Industry knowledge (rental or construction equipment) and experience in B2B sales is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting, monitoring, developing, and driving retail sales operations.
  • Monitoring and ensuring each retail sales representative has a daily plan, knows their objectives, and is actively engaging all retail prospects professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies and plans to meet revenue goals.
  • Preparing regular reports and conducting monthly meetings to review sales performance with each sales representative.
  • Tracking market trends and competitor activity within the region.
  • Managing the sales team to maximize revenue and meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Working with the sales team to develop sales strategies for sales growth and market share, including ride-alongs, sales blitzes, and reviewing sales margins on quotes.
  • Monitoring the sales team to ensure company policies are adhered to and providing disciplinary action when needed.
  • Working with the Retail Sales Support Manager and individual salesmen to maintain and monitor inventory levels of all retail equipment (machines and attachments) at assigned retail locations.
  • Supporting the retail sales team by addressing inquiries, concerns, needs, and requests.
  • Responsible for recruitment, interviewing, and staffing processes at each assigned location (in conjunction with the ES HR Team).
  • Coordinating and scheduling individual training sessions with manufacturer account representatives for sales staff to educate and maximize sales potential via equipment knowledge.
  • Monitoring quarterly sales performance of salesmen and reporting progress monthly and quarterly to appropriate managers.
  • Reviewing all sales quotes for accuracy prior to salesmen presenting to customers and prior to requesting invoices for sales from the Fleet Sales Specialist.
  • Ensuring all post-sale requirements are met, including commissioning of machines, requesting manufacturer warranties and rebates, and updating inventory to reflect sales.
