About The Position

The Retail Sales Leader is responsible for the sales, distribution, and merchandising of Mars Wrigley products at retail outlets (across all channels) within an assigned territory. This role is also responsible for managing wholesale and retail chain accounts as assigned within the territory. For this position, preference will be given to candidates located in South shore of Montreal in Estrie Granby-Bromont.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Business Administration or relevant field.
  • Strong Customer management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with managing accounts is highly preferred.
  • Retail Sales experience is an asset.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possession of valid drivers license.
  • Flexibility regarding remote work, include potential overnight stays in territories.
  • Live within territory boundaries.
  • Availability to travel is required.

  • Experience in retail sales (commerce de détail) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage wholesale and retail chain accounts against NSV targets.
  • Act as a peer coach for other regional and team members regarding onboarding tasks, as needed.
  • Sell and maintain distribution for assigned products.
  • Present display programs to customers and propose orders.
  • Present and sell booking sheets to stores.
  • Ensure all listed products are stocked and correctly displayed on shelves with store price tags.
  • Restock displays, including Mars Canada displays.
  • Work with the customer to secure secondary space for building displays.
  • Install POS materials or other marketing collateral, as applicable.
  • Rotate products on the shelf and in the backroom to ensure optimal product quality and freshness.
  • Maintain accurate data (customer details, survey records, follow-ups, etc.) in the field sales data collection software.
  • Manage the territory through customer coverage, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of time and resources.
  • Plan and organize routes based on the company’s call coverage model (call frequency and duration).
  • Keep the DSM informed of territory activity.
  • Maintain an adequate stock of relevant merchandising supplies and POS materials.
  • Follow company procedures for processing credits/checks.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key store personnel.
