About The Position

Mueller Sports Medicine, a family-owned, Wisconsin-based company established in 1960, is seeking academically strong candidates with a passion for their field of study for an internship. This internship offers opportunities to explore future career paths in various departments, including sales. Interns will have the chance to meet with associates, vendors, and customers, both virtually and in-person. Mueller Sports Medicine is willing to accommodate recordkeeping or evaluation requirements if the internship is taken for credit.

Requirements

• Completed one year of post-high school education and enrolled for the fall semester at a technical college or four-year university.
• Pursuing a degree in a field of study related to the area of the internship.
• Have a grade point average sufficient to be considered in good academic standing.
• Ability to understand and comply with Mueller Safety Systems and current regulatory requirements.
• Strong planning and project management skills.
• Strong ability to transition efficiently from working independently to working collaboratively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization including with the board.
• Develops and maintains interpersonal relationships.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Advanced use of Microsoft products, including Word, Outlook and Excel, and related industry applications.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Responsible to appropriately protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of the organization’s systems and data as well as client data.
• Ordinary ambulatory skills; ability to stand or sit, bend or stoop, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light weights of up to 20 pounds.
• Good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate office equipment and read.
• Frequent typing.

• Previous work experience or internships in the field or a related field of the internship.

Responsibilities

• Represent MSM at events (sporting events, competitions, on campus, etc.).
• Create and load a new FDM SharePoint site to house key information.
• Update, support and create PowerPoint presentations for sales meetings.
• Assist with data entry and reporting of key sales reporting.
• Assist with Price lists, sales forecasting, data analysis.
• Perform administrative duties such as filing, copying, scanning, etc.
• Other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the organization.
