About The Position

The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; accurately processes purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and maintains merchandising standards. The associate prepares merchandise for the sales floor, participates in store recovery and cleanliness, supports shrink-reduction and safety programs, and follows applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

The position is at Marshalls Store 1358, 3700 Easton Market Suite 201, Columbus, Ohio. Starting pay is $13.50 to $14.00 per hour, with actual pay determined by relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and participate in maintaining and cleaning the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
