About The Position

AutoZone’s Retail Sales Associates are part of the store team responsible for delivering WOW! Customer Service and helping customers find automotive parts and solutions. The role supports sales and day-to-day store operations by assisting customers, maintaining inventory, sharing product knowledge, and helping create a positive, knowledgeable retail environment.

Associates recommend products, services, and promotions; provide automotive advice; restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale, loss-prevention, financial-management, and safety procedures; and use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions. The position requires the ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise and a flexible schedule that may include mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and contribute to a motivated and productive store environment.
• Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
• Restock and organize merchandise; follow point-of-sale procedures, loss-prevention policies, and proper financial-management practices.
• Complete assigned tasks efficiently by following structured processes and company safety policies, including using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions using AutoZone systems.
• Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
• Lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
