About The Position
AutoZone store teams provide customer service by helping customers find automotive parts and solutions, maintaining inventory, and supporting store operations. The Retail Sales Associate delivers customer service, helps customers select products, provides automotive advice, supports sales goals, and contributes to a positive and knowledgeable retail environment. The role offers opportunities for career growth in an essential industry serving the motoring public. The associate collaborates with managers and teammates, maintains merchandise and store organization, follows cash-handling, loss-prevention, and safety procedures, and uses AutoZone systems to stay current on parts, tools, and promotions. The role also includes assisting customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations and using diagnostic tools to read vehicle codes and recommend solutions.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Basic knowledge of automotive parts is required.
- Ability to lift, load, and deliver merchandise.
- Availability for a full-time flexible schedule, including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Strong people skills and effective communication in both Spanish and English.
- Previous experience in automotive retail.
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification.
Responsibilities
- Engage with customers, provide trustworthy automotive advice, and communicate clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with managers and teammates, support team members, and help maintain a motivated, productive store environment.
- Recommend products, services, and promotions while contributing to sales goals and store performance metrics.
- Restock merchandise, maintain store organization, follow cash-handling and loss-prevention procedures, and support smooth store operations.
- Use structured processes to complete tasks efficiently and follow company safety policies, including using personal protective equipment.
- Stay current on automotive parts, tools, and promotions through AutoZone systems.
- Assist customers with wiper blade, battery, and light bulb installations.
- Use diagnostic tools to read codes from customer vehicles and recommend solutions.
